Annual Mobility Dialogue: City provides information on activities in 2024
At the "Annual Mobility Dialogue" on Tuesday, April 1, the city will provide information on developments to promote mobility in Aachen. From 5 p.m., themed stands will invite visitors to find out more and discuss with each other.
The event starts at 5.30 pm at the Depot at Talstraße 2 in Aachen and ends at around 7.30 pm. The event will be recorded. The video can be found later on the YouTube channel of the City of Aachen.
With the "Annual Mobility Dialogue", the administration focuses on all relevant mobility topics - from walking, cycling, local public transport and motor vehicle traffic to innovative approaches such as sharing models and digitalization in mobility.
The evening will focus on current developments in the individual topics as well as an open discussion about mobility in Aachen. At the event, the specialist administration will show a short film specially produced for the annual dialog. It shows the use of various forms of mobility in Aachen.
When it comes to cycling, guests can also find out which measures demanded by the cycling decision in Aachen have now been implemented. With the annual dialog and the Mobility Report 2024, the city is complying with Goal 7 of the cycling decision entitled "Promote a consistent and transparent transport transition". According to this, a written report is to be presented once a year. In addition, there is to be a debate with citizens at an event.
Program
Mayor Sibylle Keupen welcomes the participants. The presentation of activities in 2024 and the film screening are followed by a discussion in the plenary session. At the end of the event, City Planning Councillor Frauke Burgdorff draws a conclusion and ventures a look into the near future. The Annual Mobility Dialogue continues after the official part with a get-together in a relaxed atmosphere.
