City of Aachen invites you to the "House of Curiosity" information event on April 3
Aachen will have a House of Curiosity. This has been decided by all parliamentary groups in the council and the administration has been commissioned to purchase the former Haus Horten and later Lust for Life. After eight years, the standstill at this location is over and great things are being planned instead.
The House of Curiosity is to become a meeting place for everyone in the city. In future, people will be able to play, read, learn and discuss here. People will be able to watch films, enjoy culture, attend seminars, discover new things or simply meet up and have a coffee. Open to the public and free of charge.
The adult education center and city library are closely involved, moving from their previous premises to the Haus der Neugier and together becoming part of the open concept, which no longer provides for closed institutional divisions.
The new concept will be presented and discussed by Lord Mayor Sibylle Keupen, Head of Cultural Affairs Heinrich Brötz, the directors of the vhs and city library Dr. Beate Blüggel and Doris Reinwald as well as Dirk Lange from the Aachen office kadawittfeldarchitektur on April 3, 2025 at 7 pm in the Altes Kurhaus. They will be accompanied by artistic interventions by Theater K. Moderator Gisela Steinhauer will guide you through the evening. Admission is free.
The event will be recorded and published on the city's YouTube channel afterwards.
