Trade union history city tour
The German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) of the NRW South-West region is organizing a city tour to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of free trade unions. On Sunday, March 16, between 1.30 and 4.30 p.m., colleagues from the DGB History Workshop and "Arbeit und Leben Aachen" will recall significant traces of oppression, resistance, re-establishment and prospects for a new beginning in the history of trade unions. The meeting point for the city tour is at the entrance to the Volkshochschule Aachen (vhs), Peterstraße 21-25.
Participation is free of charge, but registration is required at www.vhs-aachen.de/kurssuche/kurs/Gewerkschaftsgeschichtlicher-Stadtrundgang/251-02202?knradd=251-02202.
The city tour is part of the series "Aachen 1944 and the path to democracy".
