EU-Music connects children and young people in the region
As part of Erasmus+, the Aachen Music School and the Music Academy of the German-speaking Community of Belgium have come together for the first time to form a new, long-term European network with "EU-Music". EU-Music, now in its third year, offers young musicians the opportunity to meet in cross-border workshops, concerts and joint activities.
In a varied annual program, children and young people can take part in symphony and chamber music ensembles, gain their first experience of baroque music or improvisation, or hone their stage presence and bodywork in practical workshops. Led by professional instructors - international musicians from Germany, Belgium and Switzerland - the focus is on making music together and having fun with music. In this way, European diversity comes alive musically and can be heard. Additional partnerships with the Aachen Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Aachener Wohnzimmerkonzerte e. V. expand the network and create further artistic opportunities.
The workshops focus on inclusion, exchange and making music together. The audience also benefits from appealing concerts and performances in public spaces or social institutions.
