All interested parties are cordially invited to the festive anniversary ceremony of the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen on Saturday, March 15, at 11:15 am. The foundation of the Society for the Conferring of the International Charlemagne Prize 75 years ago, on March 14, 1950, will be celebrated in the Coronation Hall of Aachen Town Hall.

Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, will give the ceremonial address. Afterwards, the Chairman of the Charlemagne Prize Board of Directors Dr. Jürgen Linden, Charlemagne Prize Academy Fellow 2020/21 and research associate at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies Dr. Hannah Pool, the 2020 Charlemagne Youth Prize winner and F.A.Z. editor Dr. Simon Strauß and journalist and moderator Ralph Sina will discuss the challenges and opportunities of the EU.
