Roadway renovation on Niederforstbacher Straße

Following the pipeline work by Regionetz, Aachener Stadtbetrieb is having the road surface in Niederforstbacher Straße repaired as part of the major asphalt work. This concerns the area between Aachener Straße and Bierstrauch. The work will be carried out between Monday, June 16 and probably Friday, June 27. It is necessary for the affected area to be completely closed, and access to yards and garages will be restricted during the construction period. The sidewalks will remain free, cyclists are asked to push their bicycles along the sidewalk.

The asphalt surface will be laid from Monday, June 23 until probably Wednesday, June 25. Therefore, no vehicle traffic can be permitted in the entire roadway area described above.

It is strongly recommended not to walk on the sprayed road surface, as there is a risk of permanently staining clothing. The same applies to driving vehicles. Parking on the sidewalks is prohibited during the entire construction period. The work may cause noise and dirt nuisance. Appropriate protective measures will be taken to keep this to a minimum.

In view of the poor condition of the road surface, it is imperative that the asphalt is repaired at this point in time and cannot be postponed. This is the only way to guarantee that road safety is maintained for all road users on Niederforstbacher Straße.
