Work on the redesign of Theaterplatz is progressing according to plan. As part of the next construction phase, the construction site will be extended to the southern side of the theater (even house numbers) from June 16, 2025. This will entail a change in traffic routing.

From June 16, access to Theaterplatz will only be possible via Theaterstraße in the area of the intersection with Borngasse. Access to residential buildings, disabled parking spaces and the loading zone in the area of the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz will only be possible via this route. Theaterplatz, Theaterstraße, the theater and all adjacent buildings, stores, restaurants and surgeries can be reached on foot at any time.

The next construction phase is part of the comprehensive redesign and modernization of Theaterplatz. Regionetz's pipeline work forms the basis for the subsequent urban redevelopment of Theaterplatz by the city of Aachen.
