Conversations on the picnic blanket: open dialog with the Lord Mayor in Kennedypark
A special kind of picnic awaits all interested Aachen residents on Friday, June 6. From 6.30 to 8.30 p.m., Mayor Sibylle Keupen and the "Werkstatt der Kulturen" (Workshop of Cultures) of Diakonie Aachen invite you to an open citizens' dialog in Kennedypark - with a picnic blanket, pavilion and plenty of space for exchange.
Everyone is cordially invited to bring their own food and drinks and get into conversation with Mayor Sibylle Keupen, the city's neighborhood management team and the Citizens' Dialogue team in a relaxed atmosphere. The topics will cover everything that moves the district: living together, diversity, urban development, neighborhoods and much more.
"A picnic is a wonderful place for conversations without barriers - open, honest, personal. I'm looking forward to meeting new faces, good conversations and a lively get-together," says Lord Mayor Sibylle Keupen. Benjamin Chiti, head of the migration and integration services "Werkstatt der Kulturen" at Diakonie Aachen, is also looking forward to the picnic: "Direct exchange at eye level is essential for successful coexistence. The picnic offers a wonderful opportunity for this - relaxed, personal and in the middle of the neighborhood. I'm looking forward to many exciting encounters and shared ideas for our city."
The event takes place outdoors, weather permitting. Seating is available, registration is not necessary. The meeting point is Kennedypark, on the corner of Düppelstraße and Elsassstraße. Anyone who would like to make a specific request in advance can do so by sending an email to buerger_innendialog@mail.aachen.de. Further information can be obtained by calling Sabrina Hoenen on 0241 432-7318.
