At the weekend: Europaplatz is closed

The roadway on Europaplatz will be closed to motor vehicle traffic from Friday evening, July 11, 8 pm, until Monday morning, July 14, 5 am. The closures will be in place at all access roads to Europaplatz. Joseph-von-Görres-Straße and the access road from Blücherplatz will become dead ends this weekend. The closure is necessary in order to pave the new cycle path around Europaplatz.

Motor vehicle traffic will be diverted in both directions as follows: Stolberger Straße, Adalbertsteinweg, Heinrichsallee and Jülicher Straße. Pedestrians and cyclists can continue to use the current roadworks-related routes over the weekend. ASEAG bus services will be diverted and the necessary replacement stops have been set up.

Parallel to the closure of Europaplatz, Regionetz will set up a construction site on the corner of Joseph-von-Görres-Straße and Peliserkerstraße in order to carry out urgent work on the pipeline network.

By combining the two construction works on Europaplatz and Peliserkerstrasse this weekend, it will be possible to avoid a further closure of the upper Joseph-von-Görres-Strasse.
