OecherLab: How and when will urban buildings become climate-neutral?
The city of Aachen has set out on the path to climate neutrality. What does this path look like for its own building stock? How and when will schools, daycare centers and administrative buildings become climate-neutral? The city's building management team will provide answers to these questions on Tuesday, February 11 and looks forward to exchanging ideas with interested citizens. The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Oecher Lab on Kapuzinergraben.
Photovoltaic expansion, climate-friendly heat supply, energy-efficient building renovations: Martin Lambertz. Head of the Projects and Energy Department in the City of Aachen's Building Management, will present projects and strategies for the climate neutrality of municipal buildings, report on successes, challenges and obstacles and looks forward to questions and discussions.
The event is part of the current exhibition "Aachen 2030 - Climate Neutral, But How?". Until the end of March 2025, the focus at the OecherLab is on climate neutrality. People will gain exciting insights into the challenges and solutions on the way to climate neutrality for the city of Aachen. This is also a link to the Climate City Agreement, which Aachen signed last year as one of 100 European cities and for which the city recently received the official EU Mission Label.
