"My Paris II": literary event at the Couven Museum

On Thursday, March 20, at 6 p.m., the City of Aachen's cultural department invites you to a second reading by Prof. Dr. Angelica Rieger about "her Paris" at the Couven Museum. The evening begins with a culinary introduction by star chef Christoph Lang from the Aachen restaurant "La Becasse". He will serve four amuse-bouches and an aperitif in the lower rooms of the museum. After these culinary delights, the event moves upstairs to the ballroom, where the reading begins at 7.30 pm.

Angelica Rieger is a proven expert on French literature and the French capital. She takes the audience on a journey through the centuries to "her" Paris. She has selected some special personal highlights from literature, art and architecture. This time she does not start in the Middle Ages, but in 19th century Paris. She pays a visit to the French queens in the Jardin du Luxembourg before whisking the audience away to the world of Art Nouveau and the Belle Époque and getting a taste of contemporary street art in modern Paris.

The price for this cultural and culinary experience is 25 euros per person. Registration for the event in the ballroom of the Couven Museum at Hühnermarkt 17 is possible at kulturservice@mail.aachen.de and/or by calling 0241-432 4909.
