"Hairy Queen": Reading at the Nadelfabrik

The Nadelfabrik, together with the program "Wegweiser in der Region Aachen" and the bookstore Artemis Books, invites you to a reading with Franziska Setare Koohestani on Monday, March 10, at 7 pm. The author and freelance journalist will be reading from her book "Hairy Queen" in the foyer of the Nadelfabrik on Reichsweg.

Based on personal experiences and scientific sources, the author explains in the non-fiction book what body hair has to do with biology, norms, racism, capitalism and gender. She shows that the way we deal with hair is determined less by hygiene and personal care than by norms that are deeply rooted in our society.

After the reading, visitors can buy and have books signed and exchange ideas in a convivial atmosphere.
