Economy without growth? A lecture by the OecherLab
The OecherLab invites all interested parties to the lecture "Geht's auch ohne? Niko Paech on economic growth and alternatives" on Wednesday, March 5, at 6 pm at Cineplex Aachen, Alexaniergraben 9.
Whether industry, SMEs or start-ups - more and more companies, including in the Aachen region, are facing pressing questions: How can they operate successfully when resources are becoming scarcer, regulations stricter and markets more uncertain? In his lecture, Niko Paech discusses whether growth as a paradigm of our economy is still appropriate and how humanity can comply with planetary boundaries. He will also discuss the challenges of the current growth paradigm and point out possible alternatives to it.
The renowned post-growth economist Prof. Dr. Niko Paech is an adjunct professor at the University of Siegen in the Master's program "Plural Economics: Transformation and Sustainability".
After the lecture, the debate will continue in the OecherLab, Kapuzinergraben 19d, where interested parties will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and ask questions.
