Knowledge grows - The seed library enters the next round
After a successful first year, the seed library at Aachen City Library is starting a new season. All those interested are invited to the opening event on Thursday, March 6, at 4.30 p.m. in the Aachen City Library, Couvenstraße 15 (1st floor).
The lecture by Dr. David Spencer, biologist, author and science slammer, promises exciting insights. He will give a vivid account of how plants communicate and explain how seed exchange promotes ecological and social sustainability.
Thanks to the support of the Friends of Aachen City Library, the range of seeds on offer has been expanded. In addition to seed returns from last year, the city library was able to acquire new, seed-resistant varieties from the Association for the Conservation of Crop Diversity (VEN). The seed distribution starts after the event. A maximum of three bags per person will be handed out. For the first time, seeds can also be borrowed from the city library branch in the Talstraße depot and from the book bus.
The event is free of charge and registration is not required.
