Closure of a parking lot for hikers on Monschauer Straße
The Municipal Forestry Office in the Climate and Environment Department of the City of Aachen would like to point out that the forest parking lot on Dornbruchweg will be closed on Saturday, February 22, due to tree felling work. These are necessary traffic safety measures.
The city asks forest visitors to use the other forest parking lots along Monschauer Straße - for example the Pommerotter Weg parking lot (horse traffic lights) or the parking lot at the forest cemetery - on this day.
During the felling and clearing work, not only the parking lot but also Dornbruchweg itself must be temporarily closed, so that the transition from Stachelkreuzweg to Dornbruchweg is also not possible. It is recommended to avoid these forest paths as far as possible.
