Oche Alaaf: Foolish council meeting and town hall storm

Once again this year, Lord Mayor Sibylle Keupen and the City Council are inviting everyone to the foolish council meeting in the Coronation Hall of the Town Hall on the eve of Fat Thursday. The meeting starts at 6.11 p.m. on February 26, with admission from 5.30 p.m. onwards.

Then it's "Pratschjeck op Fastelovvend" again for the Aachen City Council. The "Firma Mopp & Schrubb" and the "Lü van et LuFo" will be there. If that doesn't ring a bell, you're invited to find out. Jenny Oschmann (winner of the golden door handle), the AKiKa youth guard, the Stadtgarde Öcher Penn von 1857 e.V. and many more round off the program. Prince Serkan I, his court and the Prince's Guard will also be celebrating with the foolish city council. Admission is free for everyone. Foolish costumes are welcome.

Since 2023, the market women of the Öcher Penn have once again stormed Aachen's town hall on Wieverfastelovvend. Together with the carnival prince, they snatch the keys to the town hall from the Lord Mayor for the days of carnival. The storming of the town hall is embedded in a program put together by the KK Öcher Storm in cooperation with the City of Aachen. The colorful event starts at 10 a.m. on the market square and ends at 1 p.m. with a visit from the Öcher Penn city guard. The market is freely accessible and admission is of course free. In addition to Öcher Storm and Öcher Penn, Uwe Barthel, Nightwiever and de Schönne Fiffis will also be there.
