Vennbahnweg: Tree maintenance work will now last until February 18
The tree maintenance work by the Aachen municipal company on Vennbahnweg between the Brand business park and Eckenerstrasse has been delayed. An important machine broke down on Thursday, February 13. The work is therefore expected to last until Tuesday, February 18. It was originally scheduled to be completed on February 14.
The Vennbahnweg will be completely closed to pedestrians and cyclists from 7.30 am to 4 pm. The full closure is necessary because heavy equipment is being used and the work and road safety regulations are strict.
A detour leads in both directions through the Brand business park and is signposted: Gewerbepark Brand (house numbers 10-32), An der alten Waggonfabrik (footpath and cycle path), Eckener Straße.
Tree maintenance is necessary to preserve the tree population so that pedestrians and cyclists can use the Vennbahnweg safely in the long term.
