Lecture on climate change in the Rhenish mining area
The OecherLab at Kapuzinergraben 19 D invites you to a lecture by Professor Michael Leuchner on climate change in the Rhenish mining area on Tuesday, February 18, at 5 pm. Based on current climate models up to the year 2100, the head of the Institute of Geography at RWTH Aachen University will provide a scientifically sound insight into the possible consequences of climate change and present scenarios that could occur if CO₂ emissions are not drastically reduced. On this afternoon, particular attention will be paid to an open exchange with the audience. After the presentation, Professor Leuchner will be available to answer questions and invite discussion on specific challenges and possible courses of action.
Interested citizens, scientists and representatives from politics and business are invited to take part in the event, find out about the current state of research and join in the discussion. Participation in the event is free of charge and possible without registration.
