Sports committee of the city of Aachen unanimously approves grants
At its first meeting in 2025 (Tuesday, February 11), the Sports Committee of the City of Aachen unanimously approved grants for sports equipment for two Aachen sports clubs.
Haarener-Turner-Eintracht 1873 receives a grant of 549.75 euros for a club-owned "Flexiroll" floor mat. It is being purchased for the club's youth department's competition training and costs a total of 2,199 euros. The grant amounts to 25 percent of the total eligible costs.
The youth department of the Aachen section of the German Alpine Club has been granted a subsidy for the club's own climbing holds. They are needed to make training more attractive and varied for the children and young people. Cooperation with a local climbing gym ensures that the climbing holds are used specifically for routes suitable for children and young people. With a subsidy of 25 percent, this results in a share of 851.07 euros of the total sum of 3,404.29 euros.
