Local politics in the week from December 15 to 21

Four local political meetings are scheduled in the last week before the Christmas break. All meetings start at 5 pm.

Tuesday, 16 December
The Children and Youth Committee discusses a status report on the development of the municipal prevention chain and the funding program of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia "Kinderstark - NRW schafft Chancen" in room 207 in the administration building on Mozartstraße. Also on the agenda are a report and an application for the continuation of mobile youth work in the Forst and Driescher Hof social area, as well as a change of provider and a takeover of a share of the Höfchensweg 35 daycare center.

Wednesday, December 17,
The Aachen City Council meets in the council chamber of Aachen City Hall. Three of the topics: the draft budget for 2026, the Citizens' Council report and the adoption of a fee statute for the use of the City of Aachen's rescue service.

Thursday, December 18,
The mobility committee meets in the council chamber and discusses a status report on the passenger advisory board in 2025, the redesign of Rolandstraße / Krefelder Straße between the "Bastei" junction and Soerser Weg as part of the Berensberg priority cycle route and the barrier-free conversion of bus stops.

In the Campus meeting room in the administration building on Maria-Theresia-Allee, the Personnel and Administration Committee discusses the follow-up process to the employee survey, the 2026 job plan and the staffing situation in the registry office.
