As part of the major asphalt works, Aachener Stadtbetrieb is having the road surfaces in the Diepenbenden street area, along house numbers 22-28 and the cul-de-sac between house numbers 18-32, repaired. The work will be carried out between Monday, December 1 and probably Friday, December 12. It is necessary for the affected area to be completely closed, and access to the courtyards and garages will be restricted during the construction period. The sidewalks will remain free, cyclists are asked to push their bicycles along the sidewalk.

From Tuesday, December 9, 7 a.m. to Wednesday, December 10, 5 p.m., the roadway will be sprayed and then the asphalt surface will be laid. Therefore, no vehicle traffic can be permitted in the entire roadway area described above.

Parking on the roadsides is prohibited during the entire construction period.

It is strongly recommended not to walk on the sprayed road surface, as there is a risk of permanently staining clothing. The same applies to driving vehicles. Parking on the sidewalks is prohibited during the entire construction period. The work may cause noise and dirt nuisance. Appropriate protective measures will be taken to keep this to a minimum.

In view of the poor condition of the road surface, it is imperative that the asphalt is repaired at this point in time and cannot be postponed. This is the only way to guarantee that road safety is maintained for all road users on Schlossparkstraße.
