Local politics in the week from September 1 to 7
Eight local political meetings are scheduled for the coming week. In addition to a special meeting of the main committee, a meeting of the mobility committee is also scheduled.
Tuesday, September 2
The meeting of the Committee for the Environment and Climate Protection begins at 5 p.m. in the Council Chamber of Aachen City Hall. Among other things, the committee will discuss and approve the City of Aachen's 2025 requirements plan for the provision of emergency services. Also on the agenda are plans to make Aachen's streams in Klappergasse and Rennbahn visible and tangible, as well as the Büchel old town district.
At the same time, the Housing and Property Committee will meet in meeting room 170 of the administration building at Marschiertor. The marketing of municipal properties under heritable building rights in the "Kornelimünster West" development area, the Büchel old town district and the 2025 housing market report will also be discussed there.
Wednesday, September 3
The Aachen-Mitte district council meets at 5 p.m. in the forum of the KGS Bildchen on Hauseter Weg. Three of the topics: the Büchel old town district, the streams in Klappergasse and Rennbahn and the Jülicher Straße / Wurm viewing area as part of the "AACHEN Kompass".
A special meeting of the main committee will also start at 5 p.m. in the meeting room of Haus Löwenstein on the market square. Progress on the planning of the "House of Curiosity" is the only public item on the agenda.
The meeting of the Integration Council takes place at 5 p.m. in the Council meeting room. The Integration Council will submit a proposal to amend the main statutes. The composition of the NRW State Integration Council and the delegation of the Integration Council to committees and bodies will also be discussed.
From 6 p.m., the Aachen-Richterich district council will be discussing the "Banker-Feld-Straße / Amstelbachstraße" development plan, the ecological cemetery development concept and a bookshelf in Horbach in the meeting room at Schloss Schönau on Schönauer Allee.
Thursday, September 4
The Works Committee for Culture and Theater meets at 5 p.m. in room 207 of the administration building on Mozartstrasse. The deputy director of the Ludwig Forum will be introduced there. The agenda also includes a status report on "Gemeinsam morgens ins Museum" and a review of the Chorbiennale.
The meeting of the Mobility Committee at from 5 p.m. in the Council meeting room will conclude the municipal policy week. Here, too, the old town district of Büchel and the Aachen streams in Klappergasse and Rennbahn will be discussed. Another item on the agenda is an amendment to the City of Aachen's sharing guidelines.
