Want to spend special mornings in the museum with a private tour together with other art lovers or on your own? From September, this will be possible on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 am to 1 pm under the motto "Together to the museum in the morning". The City of Aachen's culture department has developed new offers for individual visitors and groups at the Couven Museum, Ludwig Forum and Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum.

Discover the treasures of the city's museums in a new setting

"I am delighted that the treasures of our municipal museums can now be rediscovered. Whether as an individual as part of a public guided tour with croissants and jam, during a curator's talk, on a tour of the museum depot or together in a pre-registered group on an individual topic of your choice - the opportunities for all generations to discover art and culture are limitless," says Heinrich Brötz, Deputy Mayor for Education, Youth and Culture of the City of Aachen.

It doesn't matter whether you make an appointment with other art lovers or book a private tour. Registration is now open for offers such as "To the museum with a baby - art enjoyment for young parents", "Seeing & writing - writing workshop for adults in front of works of art" or "Art, croissants and jam - fortified after breakfast for art viewing". On special guided tours, hidden treasures await discovery in the museum depot, for example, you can experience the "Couven Museum in detail" - in conversation with the curators or meet up for intensive art viewing at 12 noon on "Art at noon". And the study course "A Closer Look" offers even more background information for art lovers hungry for knowledge.

Your own guided tour on the desired topic

Together with friends and acquaintances, you can also book your own guided tour on a topic of your choice. The Museum Service Aachen will be happy to advise you. "The new offers create a particularly intense cultural experience. It doesn't matter whether you know a lot about art or are new to it. The selection is diverse: collection highlights, overview tours, individual epochs, contemporary art, arts and crafts, baroque home decor and much more," emphasizes Irit Tirtey, Managing Director of Kulturbetrieb Aachen.

The existing offer for daycare centers and schools, travel groups, families, senior citizens, companies, teams, birthdays and vacation offers can still be booked.
