Roadway renovation on Rathausstrasse and Laurensberger Strasse
As part of its annual maintenance work, Aachen's municipal services are having part of the upper Rathausstraße and Laurensberger Straße up to Vetschauer Weg repaired. The work will be carried out during the Easter vacations and is expected to last until Saturday, April 26. It is necessary to close the affected area completely. Rescue access and access to the houses on Laurensberger Straße will be guaranteed at all times. The work is necessary to improve the traffic situation during the bridge closure of the Richterich DB bridge and to ensure that traffic can continue to flow.
The refurbishment will take place during the Easter vacations, as the volume of traffic is expected to be lower during this period. This will also ensure that school operations at the Laurensberg comprehensive school are not affected.
A detour route will be set up via Roermonder Straße in the direction of Richterich (Horbacher Straße).
