An evening full of excitement, creativity and relaxed reading
On Friday, April 4, Aachen City Library on Couvenstraße invites all Aachen residents to the "Night of the Libraries" and opens its doors until 9 pm. Under the motto "Experience diversity", visitors can look forward to a varied program with special highlights: a true crime adventure, a creative light painting session and a decelerating silent reading session.
True Crime: A mysterious crime shakes the library - and the participants are asked to solve it! Between 6.30 p.m. and 9 p.m., children aged 7 to 9 who are interested in puzzles can slip into the role of detectives, collect evidence and solve the case. Register at kinderbibliothek@mail.aachen.de .
Light painting: art meets photography - at 5.30 pm and 7 pm, visitors have the opportunity to try their hand at the fascinating technique of light painting. Under guidance, impressive pictures are created by playing with light sources and long exposure times. No previous knowledge is required; the equipment is provided.
Silent reading: If you want to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind and immerse yourself in a good book, silent reading is just the thing for you. Between 6.30 p.m. and 8 p.m., literature enthusiasts can bring their own reading material and read undisturbed. Afterwards, there is the opportunity to chat with other visitors - although this is not a must. The focus is on the joy of reading. Drinks will be provided for a donation to the Friends' Association. The event takes place on the 3rd floor and is accessible by elevator.
The "Night of the Libraries" is a wonderful opportunity to discover the library from a new perspective. Aachen City Library is looking forward to welcoming many visitors.
