Aachen Music School: Christmas concert of the string orchestras
The three string orchestras of the City of Aachen Music School - the Orchestra Pre-School, the Children's Orchestra and the Youth String Orchestra - invite you to a joint matinee at the Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum on Saturday, December 7, at 11 a.m.
While the Orchestra Pre-School gives even the youngest children their first opportunity to present themselves on stage, the Children's Orchestra performs polyphonic arrangements using a wide variety of playing techniques. The youth string orchestra performs both classical composers and popular music. The audience can look forward to songs about water, a samba, film music and Vivaldi, among others. The varied program of the matinee under the direction of Aki Sakamoto-Bartz, Yvonne Hermanns-Kosarew and Moira Cameron also includes a Christmas carol or two.
Admission to the concert is free, but a donation to the music school's support association is requested.
