Action day for the current exhibition "Things to look at - old treasures revisited"
Sun 17.11., 10.00 - 17.00 h
Free admission and activities!
The Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum's action day has exciting activities in store for museum guests of all ages. The starting point is the current exhibition "Ansichtssachen - alte Schätze neu betrachtet" in cooperation with the Aachener Werkstätten der Lebenshilfe. 14 artists from the Aachen workshops have taken a closer look at the museum's medieval collection and then created their own works of art. The exhibition shows around 40 interpretations right next to the works of art from the Middle Ages.
The artists from the Aachener Werkstätten are helping to shape the day of action. At "Ask the artists", visitors can talk to the artists and ask them questions. A trio tour with artist Tosh Maurer, artistic director Hans Bothur and curator Maria Geuchen will also provide first-hand insights. Varied and creative activities for families, such as a curator tour and a hands-on workshop, round off the day of action.
Visitors can also explore the exhibition on their own, for example with a free handbook in simple language or in an artistic way with pencil and paper.
