Öcher Schängche shows the children's play "Kalif Storch"
The Stadtpuppenbühne Öcher Schängche will be performing on Sunday, November 10,
at 3 p.m. in the Barockfabrik at Löhergraben 22 the children's play "Kalif Storch".
The plot:
The witch Quirlibrix lives in an enchanted forest. She is an evil sorceress who turns people into animals. Nieres, who has lost his way in the forest, enchants her into a clock. His "tick-tock" attracts Schängchen, who tricks the witch and frees Nieres!
In Act 2, at the Caliph's court, Schängchen and Nieres meet Gretchen on their journey to Baghdad, where she teaches the children Öcher Platt. While the three of them happily celebrate their reunion, the witch has turned the caliph and his vizier into storks.
Unfortunately, the two have forgotten the magic word that is supposed to transform them back into their original form. The three friends learn of their plight and, with the help of an owl, manage to break the spell. The owl itself, an enchanted princess, is also disenchanted and marries the caliph in the end.
Further performances are planned for November 17 and December 1, both at 3 pm.
