The waste management department of Aachen's municipal services is organizing a big Christmas decoration swap. On two Saturdays, on November 23 and December 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., interested parties can swap their discarded Christmas decorations with others in the Rotunda at the Elisenbrunnen. A sustainable and free solution if the boxes in the cellar are overflowing or you've had enough of your old Christmas decorations. Everything to do with Christmas is accepted, for example nativity figures, Christmas tree baubles, unused candles, fairy lights, nutcrackers or other light decorations.

The prerequisite is that the decorative items are undamaged and in working order. Fairy lights and illuminated decorations can be tested on site. Registration is not necessary. Anyone wishing to take part in the exchange can simply bring their Christmas items to the Elisenbrunnen during the campaign period. Further information can be found at www.aachener-stadtbetrieb.de.
