Reception for the new professors at Aachen's universities
Lord Mayor Sibylle Keupen welcomed the new professors from Aachen's universities in the White Hall of the Town Hall on Thursday, December 12. "The universities are one of our city's greatest resources," emphasized Sibylle Keupen during the open and informative exchange. "Through their drive for innovation, they are a decisive engine of progress. You too are now cordially invited to experience and help shape our city as a living laboratory for the future. I wish all new professors a successful start in our beautiful city, inspiring research results and a fulfilling time. Together, we will make Aachen fit for the future."
At the invitation of the city's Science Office, the professors later had the opportunity to discuss their new place of residence and work in greater depth at a get-together. Vera Schleiden, Head of the Science Office, drew a positive conclusion from the evening: "Many stimulating conversations and newly established contacts once again showed how valuable and promising the close cooperation between the city and the universities is. All guests were united by the common goal of creating a sustainable and vibrant science city.
