Stay the Course! Political Education and Remembrance Work at the Aachen Adult Education Center—A Lecture by Alexander Barth
Since its reestablishment in 1946, the Aachen Adult Education Center has regarded historical and political education as its central mission. Over the decades, it has developed and continuously refined its programs in this area, responding to local discourse and societal changes. Following a resolution by the City Council, the “Wege gegen das Vergessen” (Paths Against Forgetting) initiative has also been an integral part of the Adult Education Center and Aachen’s culture of remembrance for nearly 30 years. Journalist and author Alexander Barth traces these developments, places them in their historical context, and explores perspectives for contemporary and critical educational outreach.
The event is free of charge; registration is requested.
