A breath of fresh air for your wardrobe: Together with nAChhaltig angezogen, we’re hosting a clothing swap on Saturday, October 17, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A clothing swap is a sustainable and affordable way to give away and take home adult clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories for free. We’ll provide non-alcoholic beverages in our cafeteria for a little refreshment throughout the event and give you the chance to socialize with one another! There will also be an upcycling workshop where you can create new items from old clothing. Admission to the event is free.
The clothing swap is once again taking place in cooperation with nAChhaltig angezogen. This volunteer-run initiative from Aachen promotes a more sustainable approach to clothing and has been organizing clothing swap events, flea markets, upcycling workshops, and secondhand shopping tours since 2020 to encourage more conscious consumption.
Here’s how it works:
You can bring up to 10 well-preserved items of clothing, provided they’re in perfect condition. Our tip: Ask yourself if you’d still give the item to your best friend—if so, it’s perfect for the swap!
Please note: Underwear is not accepted. Socks and tights must be new.
You’ll sort the items you’re dropping off into the appropriate categories on-site. After that, you can browse and take whatever you like. It’s also possible to stop by without bringing any clothes of your own or just to drop off items.
Any remaining clothing will be donated after the event.
