Public Meeting on Wilhelmstraße
The sewer lines and utility lines on Wilhelmstraße are in significant need of replacement. For this reason, Regionetz, as the network operator, is planning extensive renovation work beginning in mid-2027. The City of Aachen’s Department of Mobility and Transportation is currently developing plans for a tailored restoration of the street space following the pipeline work. These plans will take all modes of transportation into account and include the creation of a new tree-lined avenue. The City of Aachen will present the planning concepts developed so far and welcomes feedback from the public.
A public forum on this topic will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the lecture hall of the Suermondt-Ludwig Museum, Wilhelmstr. 18. You can view the documents now at www.aachen.de/wilhelmstrasse. They will also be on display until November 24, 2026, in the administrative building (Lagerhausstr. 20).
Opening hours: Mon–Thu, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., and Fri, 8 a.m.–2 p.m.
