Public Notice: Kasinostraße Closure

In this online information session, the City of Aachen, the municipal utility, and Regionetz will provide information about the construction projects and the official detour routes.
The sewer and utility lines on Kasinostraße are aging and must be replaced by Regionetz. The Burtscheider Bridge also needs to be renovated. The two projects are closely linked. To reduce the impact of detour traffic, Kasinostraße must first be closed on October 26, 2026. The full closure, which will be implemented in sections, is expected to last until July 2027. Vehicular traffic will be rerouted via the Burtscheider Bridge, and public transportation will be rerouted via Eynattener Straße.

Renovation of the Burtscheider Bridge is then expected to begin at the end of 2027.
