Walking Tour with Monika Nordhausen

: Three walking tours follow the trail of beauty through various neighborhoods of Aachen and into the countryside. Beauty often goes unnoticed in everyday life. Discovering it along unfamiliar paths and placing it within a broader cultural-philosophical context—that is what this course will focus on. On the surface, idealized notions of youth and physical fitness shape our thoughts about beauty. Yet exploring the concept of beauty can have much broader implications. This course will explore three key themes, and ideally, the reflection will offer guidance for how we perceive the world and ourselves in turbulent times.
