Nicole Erbe: Acoustic Memory – An Audio Walk Between the City and the Trees
Acoustic Memory invites you to experience the city at a slower pace for a moment. Located between the Reiterstadion and the city center, Aachen’s Stadtpark offers a space of tranquility where walking and listening become a gentle, shared experience. In small groups of up to 15 people, participants spend about 60 minutes moving through the park’s green landscape—mindfully, relaxed, and unhurried. Through headphones, a soundscape composed specifically for this project by Christian Klinkenberg unfolds, interwoven with poetic text fragments by director Nicole Erbe. The texts and sounds create an acoustic image of the city: impressions emerge, disappear again, and resonate elsewhere—like turning over cards in a game. As they walk, an associative cityscape emerges, one that the participants discover for themselves and piece together internally.
Dates: 2:00 p.m. and
6:00 p.m. each day
