Park Glimmer: The Book Walker

Kennedy Park On the final evening, Sunday, September 6, we’ll wrap up our event series with the enchanting film adaptation of the novel *The Book Walker*.Carl Kollhof,

a widowed retiree, loves books. He works at a small bookstore and delivers customers’ book orders—carefully wrapped—right to their doorsteps. One day, nine-year-old Sascha tags along behind him. At first, he accepts this only reluctantly, but gradually a friendship develops between the 70-year-old loner and the cheeky girl. When the bookstore is taken over by the large chain “Orange Books,” it spells the end for the two “book walkers”—or does it?
The comedy, starring Christoph Maria Herbst in an unusually serious role and based on the bestseller of the same name by Carsten Henn, was filmed primarily in Stolberg and Kornelimünster.

The screening begins at 8:15 p.m. Admission is free. Feel free to bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. A perfect way to end the summer for all movie fans! The open-air cinema is organized in cooperation with Wegweiser in the Aachen region.
