Bike Tour of Bike-Sharing Services in Aachen

Sharing Instead of Owning—Are Sharing Services the Key to Urban-Friendly Mobility? Join us on a bike tour to explore Aachen’s sharing services.

Whether it’s e-scooters, Euregiobike, or car-sharing—the range of rental transportation options has grown significantly in recent years. What began as a “neighborhood car” has since grown into a large network of car-sharing stations. And while e-scooters have already proven their worth in the daily lives of many people, they’re still unfamiliar to others. During the guided bike tour, we’ll stop at various stations. There, we’ll explore: How is the city of Aachen handling these relatively new forms of mobility? What efforts is it making to solve the problems associated with them?

The tour lasts about 2 1/2 hours. You can participate (free of charge) either with your own bike, e-bike, or e-scooter, or with an Euregiobike. If you’d like to use an Euregiobike, please register by 12:00 p.m. on September 21 by emailing mobilitaetsmanagement@mail.aachen.de.
