Accessible Outings - An Inclusive Walk
How can inclusion be made visible and tangible? As part of European Mobility Week, we’ll take a walk from the Elisenbrunnen fountain around the market square and the cathedral.
The chair of the Commission on Accessible Construction, Caline Strack, and Aachen’s Commissioner for People with Disabilities, Simone Krauß, invite you to join them on a short walk and will highlight the architectural accessibility measures that have been implemented in the city so that people using wheelchairs, walkers, white canes, or strollers can use these paths. They will also provide information on where to find accessible public restrooms and accessible parking spaces.
People with and without disabilities are welcome to join the walk, learn about the accessibility improvements that have been implemented, and identify areas that could still be improved.
