Traveling Sustainably as a Senior
Regina Poth has traveled extensively since retiring. She has traveled through Portugal and to Scandinavia, visited Turkey, and been to many other places in Europe. She always uses sustainable modes of transportation.
Whether by bike, bus, or train, for her the journey is the destination, and there is much to discover along the way. She overcomes obstacles with composure and pragmatism. In this talk, she’ll share her experiences traveling as a senior. An event for anyone interested in sustainable travel—not just seniors.
Regina Poth is a civil engineer (RWTH Aachen) and former director of public works for the city of Aachen.
She is an expert in sustainable transportation planning. From 2003 to 2006, she worked on behalf of the German Development Service in the city administration of Kigali (Rwanda). Since
her retirement, she has been traveling the world using sustainable modes of transportation. When she is in Aachen, she volunteers as a city tour guide and shares her extensive knowledge of sustainable mobility and urban life.
After the talk, there will be some time for discussion. You can find more
