Aachen aims to be climate-neutral by 2030. Electric mobility plays a major role in this effort, as CO₂ emissions from road traffic cannot be sufficiently reduced through the substitution of passenger cars with public transportation, cycling, and walking alone. The presentation will outline the steps the City of Aachen has taken so far to promote electric mobility and drive the expansion of charging infrastructure. It will also explain how charging electric vehicles works in practice. In cooperation with the City of Aachen’s Department of Mobility and Transportation.
