Louder than Karl 2026

Things are getting loud again at Templergraben, as the Project Association for Academic Culture at RWTH Aachen e.V. (PAK) is hosting the “Louder than Karl – Metal on Campus” open-air metal festival for the third time. The goal is to bring metal music out of basements and bunkers and onto the big stage. To make metal music more visible and thereby break down prejudices.

Whether you’re a longtime metal fan or just dropping by on a whim, everyone is welcome to come check it out thanks to free admission.
