Burtscheid Christmas market

What could be nicer in Burtscheid than holding an event against the historic backdrop of the abbey gate? It's not just the people of Burtscheid who love to celebrate or simply meet up and chat in the heart of this great district. This year, we are once again responding to the wishes of the people of Burtscheid to hold a Christmas market in front of the Abteitor. And this year it will be on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd weekends of Advent! The Christmas tree will be erected in front of the Abteitor and then it can begin. Advent stalls will then be set up at the Abteitor, inviting the people of Burtscheid and all those who love the district to take a leisurely stroll, linger and buy a gift or two.

The Christmas market opens on Friday, 28.11.25, at 12 noon. It then continues on Saturday, 29.11.25 and Sunday, 30.11.25, from 12 noon to 9 pm.

On the 2nd weekend of Advent, the Christmas market starts on Friday, 05.12.25 and continues on Saturday 06.12.24 and Sunday 07.12.25 (from 12 noon to 9 pm). On Saturday, 06.12.25 at 15:00, St. Nicholas will visit and hand out buns donated by the local bakeries to the children in the Burtscheid pedestrian zone.

The Sunday open for business on 07.12.25 is interesting for the Burtscheid business community. The stores are open on this Sunday from 1 - 6 pm. It continues on the 3rd Advent weekend, 12.12.25 - 14.12.25, also daily from 12 - 9 pm.

The wooden stalls with a large selection of handicrafts, jewelry, ceramics, etc. are set against the beautiful backdrop of the Burtscheider Abteitor. The exhibitors present themselves creatively and colorfully.
