Aachener Stadtbetrieb is a public utility company of the city administration of Aachen. With over 850 employees, it is a modern service provider that bundles the following municipal tasks for the city of Aachen and its more than 250,000 inhabitants:
- Green space maintenance
- Playground maintenance
- Waste disposal, city cleaning and winter services
- Road maintenance and bridge construction
- Care of the cemeteries
- Operation of the crematorium
Aachener Stadtbetrieb also procures and maintains the entire municipal fleet of vehicles, machinery and equipment, with the exception of the vehicles and equipment of the municipal fire department. The city's own municipal nursery, vehicle workshop and carpentry shop make a significant contribution to the successful and reliable fulfillment of the diverse tasks. The personnel, IT and financial management of Aachener Stadtbetrieb takes care of the internal coordination of operational processes and issues and is available to all employees as a point of contact.
