Litter is disposed of carelessly, usually even deliberately, in the city or in the countryside. This waste is extremely detrimental to the cityscape and landscape. It can lead to unpleasant odors and even endanger the soil, groundwater, water or air.
A lack of awareness for the environment, a lack of individual responsibility and misconceptions about saving costs are damaging our environment and us. This waste is not only illegal and harmful, but also expensive.
Littering causes damage - both ecological and economic - which is ultimately paid for by all citizens through taxes and fees.
With the many options for disposing of (bulky) waste legally and inexpensively, often even free of charge, littering in the countryside is simply incomprehensible.
Report litter to us!
You can inform us about littering in the city area, in green spaces or in the outskirts as well as about bulky waste in the City of Aachen's litter report.
Illegal waste sites should also be reported to the public order office, as any illegal dumping of waste is always an offense. Please note the location and time of day of the dumping or your observations.
If you observe people illegally disposing of waste, please pass this on to the public order office together with a description of the person. Information about the type of car, license plate number or similar can also help to clarify the situation.
