Frauke Burgdorff
Curriculum vitae
Frauke Burgdorff is a graduate engineer in spatial planning. She studied in Kaiserslautern and Dortmund. Following her studies, she worked as an urban planner in Antwerp, a futurologist in Gelsenkirchen and for the concept development of the Euregionale in Aachen. At the request of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, she set up the NRW Urban Building Culture Initiative and managed the European House of Urban Culture. From 2006, she established and managed the Montag Stiftung Urbane Räume gAG in Bonn as a board member. During this time, she also served as Managing Director of Urbane Nachbarschaft Samtweberei gGmbH. In 2016, she established BURGDORFF STADT - Agency for Cooperative Urban Development. She and her team have worked for municipalities and housing companies throughout Germany.
Frauke Burgdorff was born in Hildesheim in 1970. On June 19, 2019, she was elected by the Aachen City Council as the new Alderwoman for Planning, Construction and Mobility.
