The City of Aachen's facility management covers the space requirements of all municipal departments and divisions through new buildings, conversions and extensions, maintenance of existing buildings and the rental of third-party properties. This includes buildings of various types and uses, including schools, daycare centers, museums and cultural facilities, sports facilities, fountains, administrative and office buildings, fire stations, shelters for the homeless and refugees.

As the owner, technical operator and manager of around 750 buildings and 200 other properties (wells and other structural facilities) on around 740 properties, we manage all building-specific services and are a client and partner for external architects, engineers, specialists and numerous construction and property management trades, service providers and companies.

Around 250 employees from various technical, commercial and administrative disciplines ensure the professional operation of municipal buildings and their technical systems and facilities for the city and its citizens throughout their entire life cycle - from the initial idea to demolition.

As a facility management company, the Municipal Facility Management is equipped with its own business plan, special assets, personnel, organizational and financial sovereignty as well as staff representation from its own ranks and can therefore act flexibly, quickly and in a results-oriented manner.
