Future forestry

Forst and its sub-areas Unterforst, Altforst, Schönforst, Forster Linde and Driescher Hof will be strengthened for the future and made more attractive and liveable. From Rothe Erde railroad station along both sides of Trierer Strasse to the 44 freeway, the quality of life and living conditions are to be visibly improved and cohesion in the neighborhood noticeably strengthened.

A work of art for Forst! - Façade design on the bunker

In the last few weeks before the summer vacations, the artist Jagama - Alex Shifferaw - transformed the bunker in Zeppelinstraße into a work of art. Under the title "Forst im Aufbruch", a large-scale mural was created that grew day by day and attracted the attention of the neighborhood and many passers-by.

The square becomes colorful! - Colorful design of the district center

The public space around Forster Linde and St. Katharina is getting a colorful makeover. Together with people from the neighborhood, we are creating a visible sign of participation, community and identification.

At the creative workshop held as part of the street festival on 26 September, many creative ideas were collected on how the area around St. Katharina's church could look in the future.
Artist and designer Patricia Yasmine Graf is now translating the ideas collected into a true-to-scale artistic concept that will serve as a template for the design.

Energy caravan - Schönforst

The energy caravan - a special campaign for all owners with a private residential building (detached and semi-detached houses) is now moving to Aachen-Schönforst.

Forst, with its six sub-areas Unterforst, Altforst, Schönforst, Forster Linde, Obere Trierer Straße and Driescher Hof, is to be strengthened for the future and made more attractive and liveable.

The Zukunft Forst steering group is the local decision-making body.

Disposal fund Forst

The Future Forst Development Fund provides financial support for your project idea in and for the district of Forst, with its six sub-areas Unterforst, Altforst, Forster Linde, Schönforst, Obere Trierer Straße and Driescher Hof. It helps to implement measures and projects in the district and supports the associated commitment of local citizens, stakeholders and institutions.

With the help of the Future Forest Disposal Fund, the development and implementation of your ideas for your neighborhood as well as participatory activities and networking are to be promoted. The focus is on identification with the district, integration in neighborhoods, strengthening the sense of belonging and social cohesion. Applicants can be institutions, associations and private individuals (citizens). Advice and assistance, from the idea to the application and project implementation, can be obtained from the Forst/Driescher Hof district office (Stettinerstraße 25) through the district management.
