How can I use them?
Access to the bike stations is via a Mobility Key, which can be applied for free of charge online at APAG: APAG application.
The Mobility Key will then be sent by post or can be applied for at the APAG Service Center (Galeria-Kaufhof-City parking lot) and taken away immediately during general opening hours.Information on how the bike station works and how to adjust your bike there can be found here: APAG Bike-Station handout.

The bike stations cost €1.50 per 24 hours. You only pay when you park your bike at the bike station. The costs are capped at €15.00 per month, so you can park for free from the 11th day of the month. If you do not park for a month, there are no costs.

Bicycles can be parked free of charge and under cover in selected parking garages operated by Aachener Parkhaus GmbH (APAG). The bicycle racks in parking garages can be used like other racks on the street.

Bike & Ride
A bike-and-ride facility program has been in place since 1998. At central bus and train junctions, 16 bike-and-ride facilities have been set up, each offering space for 14-30 bicycles. The facilities are primarily located at interchanges in the outer districts, where the provision of weather-protected and secure bicycle parking can be used to promote pre- and post-transport by bicycle and support the bus/bike combination

Bicycle boxes at Eilendorf station
Since December 2009, the WABe association has been renting out lockable bike boxes at Eilendorf station on behalf of the Aachen city region. Commuters who prefer to use the train instead of the car and thus make an active contribution to environmental protection can store their bikes securely against environmental influences, theft and vandalism.
For a minimum rental period of six months, the price per box per month is six euros.
