The route of the Walheim cycle priority route is based on the existing signposted local cycle network and runs from the Montebourgstraße / Albert-Einstein-Straße junction near the entrance to Walheim via Aachener Straße, Hitfelder Straße, Kornelimünster Weg, Branderhofer Weg, Im Gillesbachtal, Kurbrunnenstraße, Hackländerstraße, Bahnhofsplatz and Bahnhofsstraße to Harscampstraße. From there, the route runs together with the Eilendorf and Brand priority cycle routes to Kapuzinergraben.
The Kornelimünster priority cycle route also runs via the route already signposted in the local cycle network between Eich and Kornelimünster, which continues via the planned Walheim priority cycle route to Aachen city center.
